The Karan English Papers make up an extensive collection of documents covering the business and issues of Northern Arizona's Coconino County, of the state of Arizona, and of the U.S. federal government from 1981 to 1994. Although a voluminous collection, important records can be found relating to the AIDS epidemic, air quality, hazardous waste disposal, the Arizona Conservation Corps, the impeachment of Arizona Governor Evan Mecham, the Walnut Canyon National Monument expansion, environmental issues surrounding the Navajo Army Depot, and the Canyon Forest Village development at Tusayan, Arizona.
